Solitaire Guest Farm & Desert Ranch is a great location from which to base your day trips to the famous Sossusvlei & Sesriem Cayon, the Naukluft Mountains and the 3 passes Remhoogte, Spreetshoogte and Gamsberg. The farm is situated at the foot of the rugged Rand Mountains with a breathtaking view over the vast Namib Desert and beautiful Naukluft Mountains.

Stay in one of our 16 authentic Africa en-suite rooms at the original farmhouse of well-known Solitaire built in the 1950s. Enjoy delicious African farm cuisine in our thatch-roofed "lapa" while enjoying the sunset and watching wildlife at our illuminated water hole. A big thatched self-catering house with amazing view and 3 nice campsite (each with own ablution) are also available.
We are a cozy, private guest farm and if you are an animal lover this is the place for you. Among the animals on the farm are tame springbok, suricat’s (meerkats), dogs, cats, and numerous birdlife. Experience our numerous hiking trails, nature and night drives in which you may see oryx, kudu, springbok, mountain zebra, bat-eared foxes, cheetah, leopard, and smaller animals.

Enjoy a sundowner and an incredible African sunset on the nearby Sunset Hill or just relax by the pool and take in some of Namibia’s most fantastic scenery.

From Windhoek via B1 (2 Options)

1) Drive 87km south to Rehoboth. Turn right onto the C24 for 157km to Büllsport. Turn right on the C14 for 54km.  At the T-Junction at Solitaire look on you right for our entrance. Drive 6km to the house.
2) Drive 87km south to Rehoboth. Turn right onto the C24 for 39km.  Turn right onto the D1261 and at the next T-Junction turn left (still D1261) to Nauchas.  At Nauchas you have 2 options

 a) Turn right onto the D1275  Spreedshoogte Pass (second highest  pass in Namibia with incredible view,  better for 4x4's) for 51km. Turn left on  C14, our entrance is 9km on your left  hand side, drive 6km to the house.  b) Stay on the D1261 Remhoogte Pass  (no problem for normal cars) for another  70km. Turn right on the C14 for 14km.  Entrance on the right, drive 6km to house

From Windhoek via Kupferberg Pass C26:
Take the C26 for ±100km and turn left onto the D1265 to Nauchas. From here You have the same to options as above
Options (A & B)

From Swakopmund and Walvis Bay: C14
Drive the B2 to Walvis Bay, then take the C14 to Solitaire for 211km. Turn left into the farm and drive 6km to the house.

From Sesriem take the C19 to Solitaire for 83km. At the T-Junction drive straight into the farm and the 6km to the house.

From Maltahöhe take the C14 to Solitaire. At the T-Junction turn right into the farm and
drive the 6km the house.
