The Mushara Outpost is another addition to the Mushara Collection of exquisite accommodation establishments, situated a mere 10 kilometers from the Von Lindequist gate of the world famous Etosha National Park.
The Mushara Outpost accommodates 16 guest in custom made tent like structures, of wood and canvas which are nestled on the banks of an ancient dry river bed known to the locals as an " omaramba".
The Mushara Outpost is all about old fashioned hospitality with warm, friendly and personalized service on the door step to the magical Etosha Pan National Park.
The lodge house is styled on an old farm house, tall walls, corrugated iron roof with a large wrap around veranda. This is NE facing to take advantage of cooling shade. The ambiance is that of a well lived in house, friendly, extremely comfortable with a light feel to it
Each tent is set on a wooden deck, a meter and a half above the ground, giving us a different perspective of the bush. A large glass sliding door leads into the tent, all windows and doors are covered with fly-screen.
Large glass windows from ceiling to floor allow for plenty of air movement during night. For the very warm afternoons, air conditioning adds an extra level of comfort. The open plan bathroom has an enclosed toilet with ceiling and two large windows. The shower walls are glass from top to bottom. Unzip the outside canvas wall of the shower to your preferred height and your time in the shower takes a new dimension.
The furnishing of the tent is minimal, comfortable and has a light feel to it. A mini bar, coffee station, safe deposit box, telephone, mosquito net , hair drier and air conditioner are standard.
Whether you enjoy the privacy of your veranda or the comfort of your tent, the tranquility of the bush is ever present.

The Mushara Outpost FI rates are per tent per night and include lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast, 2 x scheduled game drives into Etosha National Park, bar and mini bar drinks (local spirits, beers, soft drinks and house wines). The above rates exclude imported spirits, wines from the wine list and laundry.

Travel by car
On your journey from Windhoek (530 km), please drive from Tsumeb direction north approx. 74 kilometers on the B1, turn left direction Namutoni on the C38. When arriving from the Etosha National Park, after 8 km you will see the turn-off to the Mushara Lodge on your right hand side.
Please continue on the tar road ( C38 ) for another 2 km and you will find the turn-off to the Mushara Outpost on your right hand side.
