Leave Khowarib Lodge with guide and back up staff and head north to Opuwo. Mix with the Himba and Herero women in this bustling market town. Continue onto Ruacana and camp by the Kunene river on the Angolan border. After breakfast, drive west along the Kunene to Swartbooisdrift and visit the Dorsland Trekkers Monument. Camp by the Kunene. Day 3, drive through spectacular scenery enjoying the palm trees along the banks of the river. Possible crocodile sightings and many interesting birding opportunities. Arrive at Epupa Falls and have a sundowner on the observation point overlooking the falls. Camping at Epupa. Day 4. Drive south through Okongwati and Opuwo and visit a Himba settlement. Arrive back at Khowarib for dinner.

After a relaxed evening at Khowarib Lodge you depart with the guide and back up staff and head North to Opuwo. Mix with the Himba and Herero woman in this bustling market town. Continue on via Ruacana and then to Swartbooisdrift. Camping on the banks of the Kunene River.
This morning we visit the Dorsland Trekkers Monument before driving through spectacular scenery enjoying the palm trees along the banks of the river. (route may possibly change on account of flooding in the rain season - Dec to May) Possible crocodile sightings and many interesting birding opportunities arise along the way before we arrive at Epupa Falls. After setting up camp we will have a sun-downer on the observation point overlooking the beautiful falls. Camping at Epupa.
Spend time exploring the river and visit a local Himba Village. Learn how these fascinating semi-nomadic people live, work, think and worship. You will be able to exchange information and be allowed to take photographs. During the months of May - November you also have the chance to book yourself a rafting trip. (Not Included) Overnight camping at Epupa.
Drive South through the Okongwati and Opuwo to arrive back at Khowarib Lodge in time for dinner.

Included is a Kunene Safari guide and vehicle with all arising costs, English speaking guide, safari assistant, all camping fees, accommodation, meals and entrance fees as outlined in the quoted itinerary. If not mentioned otherwise all meals will be prepared by your safari team. Camping equipment.
