IGowati Country hotel is situated in Damaraland in the town of Khorixas.
Ideally situated for a visit to the archaeological and geological wonders of Damarand. Breathtaking desert landscapes where black Rhino, the elusive desert elephant, mountain zebra, kudu, springbuck and more roam freely.
Guests are warmly welcomed by staff at the reception. Daytrips are on offer to all main attractions in our area. Our reception is also willing to help with reservations and information on our area.
The Hotel offers 30 rooms all featuring en-suite bathrooms, coffee and tea making facilities, fans and telephones. Rooms are spacious, clean and attractively decorated and are all under rustic thatch roofs.
A well designed swimming pool and open restaurant offers a relaxing place to enjoy an afternoon dip, good food and hospitality. Local brewed beer and fine wines are on offer in the bar. The restaurant is open for all main meals as well as light meals and snacks. Every evening a performance by the Damara people entertains the guests.
A Boma with braaifacilities provides a relaxing atmosphere in which guests can enjoy the cool evening air and look at the stars while having a night cap or just watching the fire.
A relaxing afternoon can be enjoyed in our Jacuzzi that can seat 8 people.
The curio-shop offers some local African art and crafts as well as necessities for the traveller. iGowati also offers 10 campsites on grass and under trees to campers. Electricity points, water and clean ablutions with hot and cold running water.
